So, dear reader. We meet again after… quite a while! Yeah, I haven’t done a devlog for this since Chapter 4’s release, so we’re in for a ride. Thank you to everyone who played it! (And thank you for taking the themes respectfully, that was something I was insanely worried about…)

Before we get into the progress, I need to clarify a few things. If you’ve played Chapter 4, you know that this game is gonna split into 2 main routes: Justice and Deception. (I’m pretty sure that most people chose Justice route, though!) Both of these routes will be separate chapters, as the planned scenarios for each route have drastic differences. As such, the next major update for TCPC will be when I complete both of these final chapters (and maybe an epilogue!). Each chapter will be at least the length of Chapter 4, but they could wind up being shorter or longer. Just take it with a grain of salt.

Onto the actual progress! Most of the scenario for one of the routes has been planned out, the other is still a bit in the air. And I’ve already started drawing some of the CGs for that route and getting into the dialogue. If you guess the route these CGs are from, you get a cookie.

Not much has been done in engine for either route so far. Mostly because I’d rather wait until school is over for me, since I don’t like my “game dev flow” being interrupted by classes and homework. Aaaaaaand I may or may not be participating in NaNoRenO this year. Questionable choice? Maybe. But I’m hoping to use it to practice character writing, art, and music before making lots of progress on TCPC.
